Board of Directors 7/17/08
The meeting was held at Giuseppe’s Restaurant.
Present at the meeting John Bogue, President;
Colleen Brooks, Vice President; Wayne McKitrick, Treasurer; Debbie
Clayton, Secretary; Ron Simmons, Director. Bryan Cobb was out of town.
Wayne McKitrick distributed the financial statement
for the period ending 6/30/08. It was noted that all delinquent
homeowner’s dues have been received with the exception of one lot owner.
Ron Simmons noted the BOD needs to clarify the
intent of the covenants as written. This topic was brought up because
of the question around a request for a modular/hybrid home. The ARB
has been approached with the possibility of construction of a
modular/hybrid home. The covenants specifically prohibit modular/pre-fab
housing per Page 233, Paragraph 18.
The BOD needs to look at how to simplify the
process of approval forms.
Virgil Walker of WDS will replace the shrubbery in
the fall. Some of the new shrubs at the entrance perished due to the
extreme hot temperatures. Virgil spoke with Debbie Clayton to state he
will replace them in the fall.
Canoe rack project is pending. The boat ramp
project is also pending. It was noted homeowners need to proceed with
caution when launching boats. Look for debris in the area since the
water levels are very low again.
Homeowners need to be reminded the common area is
not used for overnight parking of boats and/or boat trailers. Also,
overnight boat docking is not allowed at the common area pier.
There are two new homes under construction on
Waterford Terrace. Neighbors should keep an eye out for unusual
activity to prevent any thefts from jobsites. Call the Sheriff’s
Department in the event of any questionable activity after hours.
It was noted we are receiving about 400 hits per
month on the website.
We would like to invite the members of the ARB to
our next meeting. Next meeting will be held on September 18, 2008, at
6:30 at Giuseppe’s. We will not have an August meeting due to BOD
member prior commitments.
